AVE’s Intensive Writing/Grammar Tutoring
 School Writing Programs
Students gain a thorough and rigorous understanding of grammar, which they use to effectively structure sentences.
 Students learn barely any grammar.
Students learn to organize and present their thoughts effectively.
 Organization is not directly and sufficiently taught. Students are expected to figure it out on their own.
Students learn advanced and applicable rhetorical techniques.
 Students learn rudimentary rhetorical techniques, if any.

 

As writing and grammar instruction in most schools has become increasingly unstructured and unsystematic, more and more students are having severe difficulties with writing. While naturally gifted writers continue to excel, most students are having difficulty organizing their thoughts and structuring their sentences grammatically.

Using our rigorous approach to grammar as a foundation, AVE shows students how to organize, develop, and present their ideas effectively. At the same time, students hone their literary analysis skills, allowing them to develop more specific and precise theses.
